PER - TAT - OOS

We went to the plot today and put in:
Charlotte
Mr Little's Yetholm Gypsy
Amorosa

Still to go in are the Kestrel but we ran out of time as we had to get back because Mark's brother was coming round as he is over here from the States for a week.

I've constructed this year's Wall of Squash. Now all we need, is the squash. I've sown some just in case it is warm enough to put some out in a month or so. You never know...it's worth a seed to take a chance.
Here's a photo of a Maskotka tomato - this one was a few weeks ago so it's grown since then.

Well, you will need 4 or more 8 ft canes or hazel sticks which are put vertically about one foot apart in a line. Then, using canes or hazel sticks which are longer than the line you have made, weave them in between the verticals - with about a foot gap vertically between. Then, when the squash are ready, plant one at the base of each cane and train them up the wall, through the spaces, and let the squash hang down from the horizontals.
